Pros

PTO and work life balance

Cons

Training and immature and under qualified supervisors. Too much senior management turnover. Too focused on sales and not customer service. Always understaffed

Pros

Good experiences, valuable training, nice co-workers, extremely inclusive of minorities almost to a fault. 401k was great. Could be an amazing company that wins customer service awards every year but not enough people care at all which is a shame. Great place to learn and then move onto another financial institution.

Cons

Not a place to stick around for a long career. Very clear people are on 3 year advancement plans looking for their raises and then they are done. Lots of "that's not my job". Obsessed with "diversity" but not always quality diversity. You have to watch your back a lot unfortunately. People will take the easy way and it's almost encouraged.

Pros

I begun working at TD at 18 so in the beginning the salary was a major thing for me because I was making 1100$ bi weekly

Cons

In the beginning it was good, people were so warm & sweet. It suddenly turned into a nightmare when I had to deal with personal issues. I have been told several times that " I have to keep personal out of business ". Impossible to find trade for a shift. In the first year, impossible to have a stable shift they change your schedule daily (part timers)! Full timers is weekly unless you have a preferred shift which is impossible to get. Unless you want those 2pm to 10 or 4to midnight. It's a nightmare. You can't have a life. Most of my coworkers quit within the first 6 months. I didn't get it at first ( young & naive) recently 3 coworkers left within the same month! I'll be the 4th one for sure. They put a lot of pressure on sales although impossible to meet because most already have their stupid Aeroplan cards and others are trying to get out of debt. It's not management it's micro-management. Calls are back to back and you are judged on your efficiency which means stick in front of your computer. The WORST job ever. Everyone goes on disability once or twice a year. They almost want you to trick the customers into taking their stupid card. " wouldn't you like to travel free?" Ha!
