Pros

pay is ok, benefits are good, cell phone discounts and employee plans are good, tuition reimbursement is easy to apply for and to get

Cons

quality standards are everchanging and subjective and at times impossible to meet. Other things are subjective as well. I am going to school as well as working. Sometimes the company is very supportive of me going to school and works to accomodate me other times it seems like they really careless and I must fight to get accomodations. T-mobile shifts what it values in customer service consistantly making it hard to keep good quality scores. Coaches seem to value hoopjumping and fakeness over sheer competance and professionalism. Its not a bad place to work, it has much of the same politics all customer service jobs have however, and at times I feel they would just rather replace you than help you advance and learn.

Pros

The group I work in is professional, yet fun, which makes a considerable difference, especially during stressful situations. I feel my coworkers are supportive and truly want to help each other grow. The department and company wide goals are clearly communicated and I feel management communicates openly and honestly with us. Being promoted and moving to other positions is also encouraged. In my position I'm able to have flexibility in my work schedule and occasionally I can telecommute. The benefits, which include the normal, medical, vision, dental have been great and the tuition reimbursement has also been helpful in allowing me to achieve my educational goals.

Cons

As with most other companies, they encourage growth within the company. Also as with most other companies I find the process to be frustrating as the job postings don't always contain a lot of information and the process to find the appropriate HR contacts can be time consuming. I'm also not aware of a formal job shadow or mentor program. I also find interdepartmental communication and data sharing is lacking as there are so many different systems and silos that it becomes a challenge to even know what data might be available to help solve a business problem. This also affects projects in which some departments that are affected by a project aren't brought into the loop until it's too late and the impacts of the project affect their work.

Pros

There are no longer any reason on earth to work at T-Mobile.

Cons

You are not compensated. A company who prides themselves on helping people stay connected to their loved ones --- just not their employees! What a bunch of PR B.S.!!! Best Place to Perform --- that's because management, especially the DM's in NY are all a bunch of performers--- tell you whatever you want to hear.
