Pros

Very Successful company to work for, We are also the top Ground handlers for 7 years running. We also service several airlines from UK, Iceland, ETC. Management is also very understanding of a persons personal life and have no problem working with anyone that is having any sort of issue, being that the person has spoke with someone from management about the situation beforehand. they also offer a real chance to advance in the company if you so desire it. With perserverance, determination, and drive, ANYONE can move up in the ranks and achieve any goals they might have in their lives.

Cons

Your schedule might shift time to time due to the flight activity. Late flights are usually a bummer due to the fact if you had any prior plans for the night and your aircraft is running late or anything else that arises with working with airlines, it could become a real downside. Also you must deal with Airline representatives who in some cases (not all) do not really care about your opinion on certain matters, but also have a very stubborn demeanor about them. Sometimes while working with swissport you will encounter these folks and really have to humble yourself for the best of the company.

Pros

There really are no good reasons to work for Swissport, unless you like working around planes.

Cons

They overwork you and don't like to pay. There is a lot of favoritism in the company and it allows for some to get by without working as hard, leaving the other employees to pick up the slack. Management gives you a bunch of work without much help, so your left to do the heavy work without much help.

Pros

At this location the staff are very easy to work with, especially in the Operations department. There is a general sense of professionalism, pride in one's work, and desire to "get the job done". The employees enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, but can still be counted on when it comes down to the wire.

Cons

There seems to be a lack of supervision of entry-level managerial and supervisory employees. As with many jobs in this position, technical experiences seems to be the main determing factor in promoting employees to roles of management and oversight, and it comes at a serious detriment when these front-line managers and supervisors are in a managerial role (that is, coaching, developing, discipline, administrative functions), rather than simply ensuring employees are doing their work proficiently. These people tend to be "overseers" rather than "leaders".
