      Flexibility, mobility,reputation,strong capital, knowledge. Good to know the people, but difficult to stay longer if you challenge too much.

      Process driven, connections, too swiss, too slow, not focused? Young people may find it difficult to stand out

      Swiss Re is ok but isn't what it used to be.

      * Good budgets * Good buildings and lunch * Sometimes a nice atmosphere between teams when pressure isn't at maximum * A pool of experts to consult (among weaker contributors). * A respected name across the insurance sector

      Cons

      * Your line manager's behaviour has a huge influence on the Swiss Re experience. Some are competent leaders. Some are control freaks and don't trust specialists with vast industry experience, but follow external views religiously. * If you aren't Swiss then your opinion carries less value. * Lack of pragmatism and dynamism amongst many Swiss hampers the work * Compensation is good for the dead wood but poor for high-achievers. * People are in danger of burn-out with shrinking headcount. * Cost cutting is reducing quality of services.
