Work load was overwhelming, stores felt understaffed for the list of responsibilities and expectations were high.

Corporate has no idea what they are doing. They expect so much from the staff that it is ridiculous. There is no training for anyone in this company so basically you're hired and expected to just know what is happening. Also there is serious favoritism in this company. The hard workers are unacknowledged while the teacher's pet receive all the glory. Recently we lost an amazing assistant manager who was making positive changes to the store, raising moral even. Instead this manager was let go because they weren't with the company long enough. They kept incompetent managers who don't care about the employee at all! We are expected to do all the work while these lazy managers remain in the office chatting. There needs to be more knowledge of the management staff that is being promoted and hired! Makes it hard to want to go into work everyday.
