Pros

None, don’t work here. Terrible work conditions

Cons

-Staff gossip all the time about other colleagues or customers. - 15 min breaks if you’re working less than 7 hours, if you’re working less than 5 hours you don’t get a break, if you’re working more than 7 hours you get 30 min break. - Pressure to get your Strike rate down, you have to sell so many starbuys & most of them are rubbish things on offer that are hard to sell. -Managers will cut your hours if your strike rate is low that week or if you’re on the first aisle and you don’t sell any starbuys or SIM cards. - 5 day work week that doesn’t amount to 30 hours - Shop floor is always dirty If your manager pressures you to sell starbuys and sim just know that they get commission on every sim you sell. And at the end of the year management get a bonus depending on how well your store did. If you get apply for a first aisle role there is no room for progression for you. Get on the till and there might be room to grow but it’s unlikely.

Pros

-Greeting Peter Mcnab, his energy is very uplifting.. never fails to say hello to anyone he passes. That was always a plus! -Working for the UK's 2nd largest Health and beauty retail store - Freebies - Box Park

Cons

- Very long ( sometimes unnecessary ) processes which were very intense at all times - Heavy workload dumbed at you with very short deadlines - Low pay - Alarming high staff turnover - Lack of training mostly informal not actually tailored to the role I was in..very generic. No clear steps, no training system put in place to ensure EVERYONE has the CORRECT knowledge. Basically if you get it you get it.. if not go and ask someone on teams, they may be right.. they may be wrong.. either way just get it done quick! - After expressing my concerns for training I didnt appreactiate being compared to with other staff members. I was told at 8 weeks I needed to be as good and as fast as every one who had been there longer than I was and had previous experience. - Lack of diversity which was quite shocking for me as it's contrary in the stores - I cried everyday until I couldn't take it anymore.. and even when I handed my notice my manager encouraged me to leave that same day.
