Pros

You can work from home, but you can do that most anywhere now.

Cons

Indecisive management that lacks the technical knowledge to direct properly. When expectations aren't met, which aren't clear in the first place, blame gets put on the employee. The nature of a startup is a total mess. Lots of talk about room for improvement, very little follow through. Overly complicated and confusing onboarding and documentation for an overly complicated, non intuitive product. The management lacks the knowledge of their own product but mandates procedures which inhibit the team. Management watches out for management at the detriment of work flow for the team. From what I could tell, lots of infighting and backstabbing, but everyone kisses management's behind. Communication is a big problem all around. Manager's and producers, most of which are based in Israel don't really aid in work other than throwing their two cents in then disappearing into the night. Unclear ever-changing expectations, high turnover rate, mounting workload which require you to work hours that aren't equal to compensation. Lot's of micromanagement of minor processes which create problems unforeseen to management. They design department basically acts as an agency go-between because the platform isn't familiar to a lot of designers. I can't foresee that going on long term as it would be better for the agency's to create the work to deliver to the platform as they have a closer relationship and are better suited to deal with their client brands, I don't see the outlook being good for a motion graphics designer here unless you like hacking apart web based assets for cheap looking work. Maybe worth a shot if you're super green, but if you have experience and knowledge of proper motion graphics workflows you might struggle to downgrade your work and workflow. Startup... amiright?!

Pros

You can work remotely, great people in the company, and working with content creators is very rewarding.

Cons

Horrible managers, they fired over 30% of the company even though they raised 100M dollars. No work-life balance, and almost no women in a management positions. They fired most of the Veteran employees in order to rehire them in cheaper countries. Promised us several times there will be no more layoffs but that was a lie to keep us from looking for new jobs.
