Pros

fair benefits. health and dental packages have quite a bit of variety and options. the free spotify premium is great! but there’s definitely a reason they offer more help for your mental health than other companies. i’m so thankful for the family i made, and the opportunities i’ve had there.

Cons

the managers i’ve had are wonderful but the people who are really in charge are so out of touch and they really don’t care. things have changed so much since the pandemic. but the absolute worst part is the labor. it feels like you’re constantly running around trying to do the job of 4 people because there may only be two of you working for periods of time, even when it’s busy. when you become a shift the responsibilities really start to get out of hand. you’re basically expected to do the job of the store manager. your on call constantly, come in early, stay late to clean up the mess. open at 4am one day close at 11 pm the next. shifts can easily end up getting burnt out. there’s a lot of pressure that can come with it.

Pros

- You will start to understand ways to appease a customer, which is a very helpful skill - Prepares you to work the frontline in restaurant as well as gets you used to hectic duties of a kitchen or a bar - Great for gaining experience

Cons

- Issues often not taken seriously (I hurt my ankle while working here, and it just got progressively worse and the staff brushed it off as me trying to get out of work while I was trying not to cry about how much pain I was in - of course, it was my choice to come in, so I quit shortly after because I was not gonna permanently damage my body, but that was not an acceptable reason to leave according to my supervisor) - Open homeless policies while generous and an admirable effort, sometimes left me feeling in danger in a city like Sacramento - The garbage at my location was a block away and really uncomfortable to walk to by yourself in an alleyway. Staff often made jokes about finding people inside of there as if that wasn't terrifying. - Overall, just felt like they didn't care about the wellbeing of everyone who worked there - Not a great long term job, as health both physically and mentally are not prioritized

Pros

People were super nice. Loved the culture and the unlimitted coffee

Cons

Low tech - no projectors in many meeting rooms. At the time, working from home was not encouraged and they emphasized "butts in seats" from 9am-5pm '""
