Pros

good benefits package--i hear the gym is nice. young company--lots of opportunity in middle management, if that's your thing. all the free coffee you can drink.

Cons

left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing; terrible internal communication; way too many meetings where nothing gets done.

Pros

Free drinks and coffee beans. I was lucky and had flexible scheduling, though this is dependent on the manager. Benefits are good for a part-time retail job... if you can afford them. My store was a very positive place to work at.

Cons

Low pay. Often totally incompetent district managers - many who have never run a store themselves and can't make simple drinks - that harass store managers. The stress rolls downhill. Can be a difficult place for older employees. Starbucks has some of the snootiest, rudest customers on the planet. Every day is a test of patience and humility.
