      Pros

      If you like a big company that swallows you up, this is it.

      Cons

      - Clueless leadership, which for some reason doubles-up each regional position so you're not sure who exactly is a decision-maker. - Despite saying they are multi-disciplinary, Stantec is very much an engineering-led practice. If you are not a PE, you will not be promoted. - As a publicly-traded company, everything seems to hinge on money. - Very poor performance during Covid.

      At this point, I cannot think of any.

      Cons

      Management has little respect for rank-and-file employees. After 22 years with outstanding performance ratings, I was laid off by an incompetent manager, who decided I suddenly had an "attitude problem".

      Some exciting projects, but poorly managed

      Cons

      Projects were managed by people who didn't fully understand the work, leading to unrealistic expectations. As a woman, I dealt with many misogynistic comments/actions from managers and colleagues, which was extremely frustrating. HR did little to help in these situations.
