Pros

The employees are a great group of people. Tough to say a negative word about any of them. The office environment is a bit non-traditional, but once you get used to it, it's a largely enjoyable atmosphere. The industry is exciting and still developing, and it is a great feeling to know that the work you do has a tremendous impact on the growing community and on the sport as a whole.

Cons

As with any job, there is a lot of unpredictability, but at Spartan, that's ramped up a little extra. Objectives and priorities can shift very suddenly, and that can obviously be frustrating. It's an established company but is still developing in a lot of ways, so "best business practices" haven't been established across the board yet. But to their credit, they're trying.

Pros

I like it here and that Spartan is growing very fast, so that does mean there's a lot to do and you can grow. There's not red tape or protocol and if you are a go-getter it could be good for your career. The brand is really cool. The community is what makes this place special. Sad that the company is very different from the values that it talks about to racers.

Cons

There's a serious bias towards the male leadership. It's super chummy and unless you're one of them and a man, there is a ceiling. I have heard someone in leadership mention and make comments about a female worker's race and dating life, using slurs. It's pretty typical for jokes or comments to be made about an employee's personal life and for that to turn into some nasty locker room chat. The company is not being guided clearly. It's jumping from one fire drill to another. No one is steering the ship and we always joke that it's a sinking ship. Which feels not that far from the truth.
