The ups and down of the role are fairly extreme. At the highs, you get to work on exciting, and constantly challenging tasks. The stock bonuses are obviously very lucrative, and the longer you stay the better the payout continues to get.

Cons

Stressful environment, high stakes with very limited timelines. Many brilliant, but challenging people to work with

Great way to learn the ropes and grow, coworkers are amazing, boss was fantantisc I really enjoyed working at Space X. It was a great place to learn the ropes and grow in my career. My coworkers were amazing, and my boss was fantastic.

Cons

Not many, though challenging it is rewarding.

Incredible value in learning if you're doing design work. Overtime + ESPP is a great way accrue value if you're hourly.

Cons

You'll have a lot less time for a girlfriend/boyfriend/hobbies. Hourly specialists typically see solid W2 pay with enough overtime but don't see particularly compelling incentive packages or stock awards.
