Pros

They offer a lot of employee perks, free lunches, free Froyo, free membership to the gym. Bikes to ride around campus.

Cons

Be prepared to live at Space X. Long hours, everybody smokes. Politics and backstabbing were a common sight. Accidents are common, my time there I witness 3 employees get run over by forklifts. People get fired on daily, it's pretty much a revolving door.

Pros

The work is very engaging and fills you with a sense of purpose. Few companies have so many interesting projects to work on. Even new employees have the opportunity to impact the company.

Cons

As many have said before, a lot is expected of each employee. This usually means long hours and intense focus. Also salary doesn't scale based on location. LA is expensive.
