      Pros

      Imagine a place where you have the culture of a start up, but with the money and resources of an established company, and the work force of a thousand of the most talented engineers in the country, all rallying behind the leadership of one of the greatest visionaries of our time, all individually stoked about doing some of the coolest engineering on this planet, and all given such a huge responsibility that they feel like they own the success of the company. This place is unreal. I've talked to my friends at lots of other top companies, and I just don't think anything exists like this place.

      Cons

      It can be hard to carve out time for your personal life. The company moves very fast and adapts quickly, so sometimes your work is abandoned which can be disheartening. Or, you experience "hurry up and wait." There isn't necessarily great career path "upward mobility" for people who truly value long-term employment career growth.

      Pros

      SpaceX is an incredibly stimulating business to work for. Access to problem sets and company resources is nearly boundless. I like to explain SpaceX as the largest small business you will ever see. We have enough money to solve problems legitimately, but the determination of a small business struggling for survival.

      Cons

      The required hours for success are insane. As systems are being constructed and tested, there is a massive manual effort required to move information around the business. Removal of necessary statusing and confusing communications would provide more time to perform actual value added work without additional resources
