Pros

- There is a real sense of working towards the potential to change the course of humanity, something bigger than yourself - High level of responsibility within the hands of every engineer, feels like your work is important - Working with some of the smartest people in the world

Cons

- Very difficult to achieve a good work/life balance, each vacation day feels like you are letting down the team since everybody is such an important individual contributor - Hiring expectations for engineers are so high that it is very difficult to keep up with attrition

- Long hours (personal choice never told by management to stay) - Los Angeles - Traffic - Area between campus littered with trash

Cons

consumes a lot of life hours (i love the hours, just a warning for others who want to have a good balance between work/life)
