Pros

Dynamics work environment, hands-on experience with flight hardware, and the knowledge of being the front runner in the public's eye of the commercial space industry.

Cons

Unorganized, cut-throat company with the intent of working you to get as much out as possible. Management? There is none and the lack of leadership is due to the fact that everyone is having to do so much that no one has time to work as a team across the company. Every site is on a different schedule, no communication at all. Everyone goes in there every day wondering if it'll be their last (fired-not kidding).

Pros

free gym membership if you have time to use it, frozen yogurt, lunch once a month, good benefits, decent pay, stock options if you started at the right time now there giving very little. great if your a work aholic and love to kiss butt.

Cons

high stress especially if you work in manufacturing, high turnover of employees, very little training when you come in unlike other aerospace companys, managers play favorites, long hours with no praise from managment, engineers are very inexperienced but act like there the best in the business Boeing and Lockhead have better engineers, constant changes production is a pipe dream, i predict more flight failures once falcon 9 1.1 launches, lots of broken promises for training opportunities.

Pros

So far, SpaceX is the only company putting their money where their mouth is. When VPs or Directors want something done, it gets done right away. Engineers do get treated very well, despite the long hours. The company is very young, so seeking for career advice is limited but it makes it more comfortable for those coming out of school. Easy to move up in the ladder if you make the right friends.

Cons

Working with certain groups or at different sites is like being back in High School. If you are not part of a click, you will be cut. Engineering leads don't have any managerial experience. Despite having a strong technical background, if they do not like you personally, they will find a way to get rid of you permanently.
