      Incredible mission slighted by their in consistency in compensation

      Pros

      The benefits are incredible, in-house food options, all the overtime you could want most of the time. Company parties. Free coffee and soda. Employee discount on Tesla cars.

      Cons

      Very hard on the family, especially if you live at any distance that isn’t just down the street. Slow progression and compensation increases. 1-3% most of the time. The food menu gets repetitive. I budgeted on a 50-60 hour week, however when work got slow the overtime dropped off with it. If you are going to work here make sure you get an adequate hourly wage before you even start.

      Pros

      1. Unique mission - You sometimes take it for granted but you don't ever have to worry that your life's work is meaningless. 2. Great people - Almost everyone around will be as smart or smarter than you which is a great environment for good ideas to develop and personal growth to occur. 3. Interesting problems - Both designing and building rockets are hard. 4. Equity - You get a slice of a company with a great future. 5. Perks - The full coffee bar, frozen yogurt, heavily subsidized meals, generous vacation days, and flexible schedule make a challenging work environment doable.

      Cons

      It is not uncommon to feel overwhelmed. There is so much work to do, so many problems to be solved, and so many people dependent on the work that everyone else is doing that there is a good deal of pressure to deliver. Parking is a bit of a pain. Life in LA is expensive.

      Pros

      Very challenging, exciting, and great experience. Keeps you very busy. Tangible results with every test/flight. Not just good people, but great people to work with. Perks that are out of the norm: Great benefits Typically get decent holiday time off (i.e. Full week around July 4th) Coffee bar/Drinks

      Cons

      Demands: Long/Odd hours often go with the territory, and with very short notice. High Stress: Be careful! Small decisions can come with heavy consequences.
