Pros

The local community and building your team is really what sells this job. The people you meet (riders, other business owners, etc.) and get to work with are incredible. You gain a lot of valuable knowledge in this role that can help you transfer into many different careers in the future.

Cons

The family and community feeling has completely disappeared from HQ. A lot of studio support roles have been dissolved. Many senior level roles who used to all come from studio positions and then were promoted, are now being hired directly into their roles from outside the company, and so they cannot understand or do not have the drive to negotiate for things the studios need. One other major downside is that the instructors that work in your studio, you cannot manage or performance manage as you are not their direct manager. This caused major problems, at least in our market, and this confusion also leads to many issues being lost or never addressed by their manager.
