Pros

Great teamwork, commission structure, opportunities for growth, lots of responsibilities.

Cons

Cannot advance/transfer with out letter from manager, who procrastinates until the position is closed so you stay at their branch. Shifts are not very flexible downtown branches. Also, the ESI isn't exactly anonymous when there is less than four employees, as is contacting gaddy with issues.

Thank you for taking the time to review Sixt rent a car. We are glad that you are satisfied with the career advancement, commission structure, and team environment that Sixt provides! To address your concerns, managers are encouraged to promote employees who are in good standing. If an employee contacts the HR department in an effort to be considered internally, HR will contact the Branch Manager to ensure that we receive a recommendation letter promptly. There are times were Branch Managers may choose not to recommend a current employee if they need further development. Even if that were to be the case, the Branch Manager will have a one on one conversation with the employee providing feedback and a performance improvement plan in efforts to prepare for career advancement within Sixt. HR insures that this meeting occurs. We guarantee that ESI is 100% anonymous. Managers with less than three employees do not receive their results directly in an effort to ensure anonymity. The Pompano location, until recently, did not have more than three employees on staff. I’m sorry you feel that contacting Gaddy with your issues did not resolve your concerns. Our employee’s satisfaction is very important to us and employee anonymity is of the upmost concern to Gaddy and Sixt rent a car alike. Lastly, our executive VP along with our VP of sales performance went on a road show with the exciting news that all branches would receive an RSPM (Regional Sales Performance Manger) to work directly with all of our Rental Sales Agents in efforts to better train and develop them with IRPD. Great company in the beginning...

Pros

Sixt has a great company culture and celebrate success. They are growing a lot across the US and there is room for growth. They have nice locations and branches and provide good customer service.

Cons

You will have to work a lot of hours in any job and a lot of the time everything changes completely. There is no work/ life balance and no recognition when you do a good job. There are a lot of young managers that are not trained to manage people and can not handle different situations.

Thank for taking the time to review Sixt. We are glad that you enjoyed the culture and five star customer service that our growing company provides. At Sixt we definitely encourage a work life balance for all employees. Depending on the position that you are in, the role may become more demanding. For instance, a Branch Manager will have to work longer hours as opposed to a Rental Sales Agent. However, Sixt does reward hard work and effort through commission, promotions, and feedback from our executives, Regional/Area Branch Managers, and Regional Sales Performance Managers. We try our best to discuss challenges and recognize great work on a weekly and daily basis through conference calls, Sixt social media, emails, etc. Additionally, our more entry level Branch Managers go through an extensive one year training program to learn the business from the ground up. All trainees are put through exit assessments to gage their knowledge, and if needed they will receive additional training or become a Junior Branch Manager until we feel they are completely ready for the challenge of managing their own branch.
