Simplus has been acquired by Infosys. The two companies are NOT at all alike in size, expertise, ability to be quickly adaptable, structure, and most importantly they are not aligned culturally. Simplus WAS a small company with hard-working, loyal employees who felt like family. Now it feels like mom and dad have gone on to marry other people and the kids are being raised in a strange day-care. Since 2020 there has been a steady loss of experienced experts who have been replaced with people who are new to Salesforce. My last several projects have seen clients sold things they neither want, nor need. When I dig deeply into their businesses and processes, it's clear that they were shown a quick dog-and-pony show and convinced they needed add-on apps that don't address their actual business NEEDS. I don't know what's changed but we are missing the mark when it comes to pinpointing what the clients really need and what can be delivered in super-quick projects, nor are we managing client expectations and truly guiding them to success. Mostly, we are just trying to get the hell out of the projects as fast as possible - it feels like we are filling fast food orders so we can get to the next paying customer. 3 of my last 4 projects were with clients who had complained to Salesforce to share their unhappiness with their project deliverables and my peers are sharing similar stories about their own projects.
