      Pros

      Nice colleagues, nice offices, collegiate atmosphere

      Cons

      Business services seen as unimportant, no training or development for them with little chance of internal promotion. HR managers think they're more important than the fee earners. Don't reward loyalty or high performers unless you're a fee earner.

      Top end client base in the asset management divisions built on the successful hedge fund practice, but over the last 2 years has built an unprecedented client base across different asset management clients. A very good banking and insurance client base rivalling the magic circle. A level of quality, reassurance and integrity respecxted by those that come in contact with the firm. Market profile is bigger than revenues suggest, a collecgiate culture that fosters a friendly environment and good work life balance. Leadership and business development plans now coming to fruition.Based on a meritocracy - if you do a job well, you get recognised.

      Cons

      Can be siloed (there again what law firm isn't), can think about own department too much and not what is right for everyone. Can over plan and not think about implementation and delivery, can have the wrong people doing the wrong job..too many people in HR
