Not much opportunities to grow into different roles

Hard to be promoted and it takes longer time than elsewhere, cronyism, a lot of non job related additional actions need to be taken for a better grade but then you still can get a basic grade, because visibility is more important than an actual job you are doing, very complicated structure that takes time to learn and then it changes every year or less.

Too little support and lack clear long term vision

No cons that I can think of

Shell sometimes have very abusive managers sometimes.

Work is not as fast paced as a bank. Juniors are over worked every month end. Risk of reorganisation. But I see opportunities internally. If you’re coming from a bank background, can take a while to adjust to the lack of pace and speed in projects. They changed WFO rules globally. Lack of transparency in pay review.
