Pros

Good pay ( They give nice raise as they cant satisfy you with quality work) Safety Looks good for women Some decent employees, No mail on weekends ( Not sure about other teams)

Cons

Long List actually. 1. Very low quality of work being moved to bangalore. There is definitely discrimination when it comes to work, The job roles in UK & NL are very different from bangalore. 2. JD during selection process will be completely different from what you would actually do. JD will mirror what a person sitting in NL, UK or US does. Only support functions gets moved here 3. Too much politics and lot of confusion in whatever little work is sent here. Maybe people clamour for work as they have very little to do 4. The IT aptitude of stakeholders is very low, no wonder our service cos take them for a long ride 5. Slow decision making, process and unnecessary marketing of unmarketable work. 6. Same project/work done by multiples teams 7. relaxed atmosphere but frustration will set in soon 8. HR is absent, my interactions with them have been limited 9. Performance rating is a joke, if you dance sing and talk sweetly be assured of a good rating. Not joking. 10. If you have no options, then join. If you wish to jack up your package before hoping to another place, then apply. Gain O&G exp. even though not a great one but other companies would fall for it due to Shell brand. 11. My manager in NL was ok but obviously whenever I ask about quality work answer would be India is only an outsourcing/support center not sure what I can give you. Well they could have sent a different JD in that case. 12. People do get terminated during probation, one my batch mates got terminated. So not a safe place, if you are not in good books and if your manager is not a honest person, then its better to be careful. 13. Re-orgs happen frequently and are shoddily executed. I went through one, people are still splitting their hairs as to which team they are joining. Its going on for the last 8 months I should say without an end result. Should I say more. Not worth joining if you have better options. If you are basing your decision on salary alone, you will repent later.

Pros

Policies on safety (some are way too much though - Example: you are not allowed to drink a cup of coffee sitting at your workstation)

Cons

Service company leads/managers with no people management skills. They behave like school head masters, not even an iota of respect to lower level employees. These managers/leads jumped into this centre with the advantage of being earlier worked for Shell clients. Not a secure job. Hire and fire is the norm here. HR hiring to meet the target headcount with no intent. No promotion until completion of 4 years. And more importantly you have to either look out for a new role or leave after this 4 year period. You will be hired for one thing but in reality you will end up doing something else and in worst case night shifts. Extremely bad life-work balance No per diem for travel(if there is one) HR is awful. Professional ethics/responsibility doesn't exists in their dictionary Cafeteria food is pathetic to say the least. Bad CTC structure. No tax saving options.
