Inconsistent culture, good pay and long term prospects

Good pay and benefits in theory Strong roadmap and opportunities Some teams are really strong and good

Cons

If you land in the wrong organization, things are nightmarish. People in power will abuse it if they dont like you outside of your work performance. Discrimination and getting rid of people through performance management common. That great leave policy? Use it and expect being demoted and/or pip'ed out after. Promotions of the worst behaved. Bad hiring practices. Illusion of a strong culture but its not consistently applied or cared for and senior leadership is oblivious or complacent.

Pros

- Work-life balance is actually respected here. You won’t find your laptop giving you puppy eyes at midnight. - Super collaborative culture: people don’t just “circle back”, they actually… well, circle back. - You’ll never feel like the dumbest person in the room because even if you are, people are kind enough to explain things without making you feel like Clippy from MS Word. Lots of ownership on projects. You get to drive things instead of being stuck in the backseat with no aux cable. - Benefits are solid (tuition reimbursement, healthcare, flexibility; basically, adulting made slightly easier).

Cons

- Time zone overlap with US stakeholders = your calendar sometimes looks like a late-night Netflix binge schedule. - Frequent team structure changes: Just when you get comfy with the org chart, boom, plot twist.
