Pros

GRATIS!!! LOADS AND LOADS Great place for beauty junkies huge emphasis on education on all brands, there is always updated trainings Amazing coworkers because they don't just pick anybody to work here Fun place to work especially if you love people and making people beautiful Genuine consultations, we never ever push people to buy because we are not on commission which means you can trust us because we want what's best for the client

Cons

Not enough pay for how much we know compared to other beauty retailers who dont educate their employees we pride ourselves on the knowledge we are trained and they should consider paying us more considering how much traffic and business we generate because it is retail, the hours suck

Pros

Working there will give you a lot of experience with the beauty industry. After you have worked there you will feel more confident. There is room for advancement and growth but you have to work very hard and the hourly pay is not that great compared to similar jobs in the area. The training that is given to you while working in Sephora is priceless, a lot of money and time is spent on trying to train the employees. Good managers will try to grow you into a manager yourself if you have the drive in you. Did I mention the free products you receive while working there? Bins and bins of free product!!!

Cons

The hourly rate is low compared to similar jobs. Some of the managers are incompetent and slide under the radar for a long time before being disciplined. It is very easy to go unnoticed for years at Sephora unless you really put yourself out there for a promotion, but I guess that is all about the drive of the individual.

Pros

The best reason to work for Sephora is the product knowledge you will gain and especially the gratis (free product).

Cons

Sephora is an unfair company when it comes to professional growth and career opportunities for its employees. I have experienced senior management discriminate on the basis that an employee was African American, another employee was a student, and a more mature employee.
