Pros

Fun environment, seems like management strive to make you feel welcome and want you to do be and do well. There was always a contest/prize or event going on that helped motive you to engage with clients. Constant and consistent education on products and promotions. Loved being rotated to different sections of the store throughout shifts. Management made sure you got/took breaks/lunch. Gratis.

Cons

I really don't have any cons, I guess standing all the time? However, if you enjoy talking about and helping clients select makeup, fragrance, and skin care then it really doesn't seem like work and the time flies.

Cons

There aren't many cons, but I think you have to be exceptional at the following to be successful and fulfilled at this company. 1. You have to have strong business acumen and forecasting skills. 2. People development needs to be a strength. This is not a company that puts part time employees on action plans because of statistical information. There isn't any for them. Everything is very behavioral. 3. Sephora has many moving parts of the business, strategic thinking and planning is a must. 4. Must like working in a fast paced atmosphere, our low volume stores are not low volume. There is also not any downtime. The work load is only light during December.
