If your team is good, it's a great environment. Gratis helps the team try and promote favorite products. This company is invested in offering a lot of training internally and from brand reps.

Cons

If the team has a few "toxic" members, it can really affect morale, in spite of the best efforts of management.

Up to date information on beauty products. Samples to try daily. Learn a lot about cosmetics in a short period of time. Exciting work environment.

Cons

Can be boring day to day. Management seems to pick favorites, seems like they could be a little more professional and less "high school"

Pros

extremely progressive, frequently changing dynamics, not afraid to take risks. Fair amount of internal training available.

Cons

does not pay industry standard wages. Leadership does not follow the rules that everyone else is expected to follow. Poor communication from the top down. Lots of direction to do things because someone in leadership wants it regardless of impact. Sephora values only paid lip service. Nonexistent work life balance. Fair amount of nepotism. HR is horrific - feels like you're meeting with the cast of the movie mean girls. heavy reliance of contractors at rates which are 2-3x what a local headcount would cost.
