Profits over People

Pros

Remote, pay, flexibility, PTO, benefits

Cons

This company does not care about people. They care about profit only. They lay off so many people every quarter; it is flabbergasting. No one has job security. There is no culture building or any sense belonging. You are simply a means to a profit. They cannot keep anyone in the People/Culture role because they are never allowed to make any progress due to people not mattering to leadership. Its a sad place to be.

Pros

Legacy name in the industry.. Good health benefits

Cons

Company went to a major corporate lay off. Laying off majority of its sales engineers so the ratio sales rep to SE ratio is high. Sales marketing budget is very tight Management is sitting in their ivory tower not listening to what’s happening in the trenches. Salary is low compared to others and no RSU. Very competitive MDR , makes it challenging to sell with other dominant players in the industry with little or no differentiation. Sub par first line managers Lastly limited career growth opportunities unless you’re in the inner circle.

Pros

- Education opportunities. - Actively trying to make the org better through education. - Actively trying to figure out how to get teams aligned internally. - Rewarding, exciting and challenging industry space. - Putting more women in leadership roles - Championing a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

Cons

- Everyone working in a silo - C-Suite & Director's suffocating oversite. - Utter lack of trust in employees. - Inexperienced leadership. - Loudest voice wins mentality. - Growing pains of startup, with the red tape of enterprise. - Dysfunctional working relationships with your peers. - Strategically directionless. - Too much admistrative work that takes away from doing your actual job. - Engineers building what they want to, not what they need to or should. - Revolving door or talent/employees
