Pros

A good place for training for a real job.

Cons

expensive health insurance, company dont like to give weekends off,or 2 considive days, company likes to put in schedule bids to give your schedule to sombody else. management likes to take action against you if you are sick even if turn in a doctors note. The co is only interested in ways to cut cost even if it hurts its employees and its customers. Service units will not answer the ph and if they do they cant help or will not help

Pros

The job is easy. Minimal work. Since hours are hard to come by, associates rarely have a problem getting days off if requested.

Cons

Minimal pay. No room up the ladder. Management is very poor. Management is lazy, unproductive, and unhelpful when it comes to just about everything, except taking coffee and cigarette breaks.

Pros

Working for Sears is a good start. It's now listed on the 2008 Business Week Best Places to Launch a Career. I would have to say I learned a lot, which was my goal. The experience was great, and the people were friendly. The management trainee program did a good job of preparing you for the real job.

Cons

You will work 55 or so hours a week. Upper management may seem not as friendly and promotions are held for those that are most willing to relocate. I would not stay here for my whole career. Lower level employees complain about absolutely everything and anything. Some of the sales floors can be cut throat.
