Pros

Sears offers an amazing environment to balance out the professional workplace with the undeniable need to do something besides scan price tags. Management is pretty relaxed with the amount of breaks that I received, and although they urged me to be productive when I could, sometimes they would take breaks with me. Furthermore, Sears offers surprisingly good customer service for the minimum wage pay because Sears employees do get recognition by management for their good service to customers.

Cons

Sears pays minimum wage, and because Sears employees get bonuses for having credit card sales, sometimes they will trick non-English speaking customers into signing up for a card - an unfortunate byproduct of human breed.

Pros

The sturucture of the store at the time of my employement was very cohesive and complemantary. However now they have eliminated many positions and departments due to cutbacks.

Cons

Sears has lost many of the things that formaly drew customers in, and with the economic state has lost sales even further. In all there is very little room for advancement.
