Not a healthy place to be

Pros

Pay is okay for the work being done I guess

Cons

The pay could be better, no performance reviews, no bonuses. Management can hardly manage the equipment and repairs let alone be leaders of the people. “Leadership” actively keeps people in their place and won’t let people advance their career. They simply don’t care about their employees and view them as numbers. Do weird things like brag about buying pizza for employee appreciation, or ignore the issues that employees bring up until it’s almost to late.

Pros

Could be a good place to work if they ever figure out the problems are in the office, not on the floor.

Cons

Upper management is terrible at their job. Revolving door of employees due to lack of training and upper management not taking the blame for their mistakes. Good people quit due to management or get fired because they dont know how to do what they have never been taught how to do.

Pros

Unionized workplace means pay and benefits are better than comparable positions at other companies. There is a ton of turnover, so if you are desperate for work, they are always hiring.

Cons

Constant overtime -- when I quit, we were averaging 60 hours work-weeks. Standing for 10+ hours a day doing repetitive motions is pretty hard on your body. Shift supervisors are combative and seek to find fault with employees rather than trying to be supportive and motivating. Everything from promotions to vacation time is seniority-based, so good luck advancing or trying to take summer/holiday weekends off when you're new. Very little vacation time at first, and takes a long time to accrue a fair amount of paid time off. A minority of my male coworkers were incredibly inappropriate with me, and with other female coworkers. (Lewd comments, inappropriate questions, inappropriate physical contact, including groping female employees, cornering female employees, and pressing up against female employees.) Supervisors/Human Resources did not care, and did nothing to address it.
