Pros

There are some strong and skilled people in structured finance from whom you can learn from. Growth Capital is also strong but can talk to you from a high horse, and ride roughshod over credit.

Cons

Lots of rag dolls on every level in the organisation. Discrimination by nationality is no problem, and some line managers get away with it dressing it up as behavioural issue with employee. Cronyism is huge and overrides superior skills, experience, and education. If you kiss up to the right person you'll get the job no matter how unqualified you are for it. Internal interviews are a farce with the final outcome decided before it starts. There are some people with huge egos but no substance behind in the Large Corporates Front Office Team. Systems are very clunky but no one dares to escalate it to the appropriate level.

Pros

Co-workers were amazing. Free lunch sometimes. Get to wear jeans to work. Company wide events, including six flag day. Nothing positive related to the actually job.

Cons

Upper management is terrible. Basically ran by a fraternity. Company does not know what they are doing when it comes to being public.

Pros

Paid pto Decent pay You get overtime

Cons

If you have vacation plans already setup or if you wanna go somewhere in the future forget it. You have to book it the same month. Don't rely on your incentive plan for pay it because it can change at any moment and dramatically impact the pay The system is entire computer terribly slow which ultimately impacts the customer experience. Customer experience impacts your pay. Management says things like they want to get you licensed, but it will never happen because they keep false promises. I would never work here if I was a settled "grown-up" married with children because there is no work-life balance.
