Pros

Training was well structured and well delivered. I met some good people there, and still have friends that work there. The on-site canteen (if your shift allowed you to go there) was quite good, albeit quite small.

Cons

- Terrible shift patterns; usually going from 1pm-9pm to 7am-3pm shifts the next week. - 2 days off per week, but it would consist of one weekday and one weekend day. You were given 1 our of 4 full weekends off as your 2 days. - Parking was terrible. There were so many things wrong with their parking. - The job itself wasn't enjoyable. After being there for a while you got trained to deal with customers' charges, which meant receiving verbal abuse from customers on an almost daily basis. There's a whole host of other issues with the Sheffield site, but I think I've covered enough.

Pros

Flexible work hours An hour off for doctor's appointments if you needed them Can be quite relaxed at times in the office The other analysts were nice

Cons

Lack of job stability (moving roles across the country/making people redundant at a whim) Very poor and out of date data systems Lack of transferrable skills for employees because of outdated systems Below market average pay, but a big show and dance of pay rises HR/Managers often tell white lies to get people to stay Weak progression for most Lots of slow, monotonous transformation projects that fail but take up lots of time and effort A somewhat miserly company Low retention of staff Difficult to recruit for vacancies Very political senior managers Cut throat corporate when needs be, but without the glamour.

Pros

There's plenty of opportunities due to multiple shifting priorities. However you will run into multiple roadblocks in getting anything accomplished. There are a lot of people TRYING to do the right thing and who take pride in their jobs.

Cons

Company is riddled with cover ups, willful blindness, and corruption. Your integrity will be challenged at this company. If you do not fall in line they will make your life miserable. The technology and infrastructure is reminiscent of 1980 and EVERYTHING in this company is performed manually. It is nearly impossible to complete daily tasks due to the slowness/lack of system availability.
