Pros

The company treats it's employees well, but it depends on the manager you get. They do try and work with you, but if someone decides they don't like you, then no matter how well and how hard you do your job, you won't get a fair evaluation.

Cons

There seems to be an unusually high amount of problems that occur in R & D and QC.

Pros

The benefits and the work life balance offering flex work weeks. Gym on site from 7am to 7pm. offering spin classess, yoga, cardio kickboxing. When a project is eliminated the company will reposition employees when jobs are cut. You have the opportunity to stay with the company. It may not be the job of your choice but you will still have a job here.

Cons

Being repositioned into a job you may not be happy with and is not your choice. You must stay in that position for at least one year before you can bid out and your manager must approve the fact that you would like to bid on another job in another department. If your manager does not want to let you go even if there is a job offer you will not be able to leave the department you are currently in.

Pros

it's close to my home. it pays well for the area. they have positions available.

Cons

management does not care about the workers and non-management is often show disdain and disrespect. even strong efforts by employees (and contractors) goes by without reward -- even in the form of verbal affirmation many times. I know that employees have been threatened with firing because of things that middle management told them to do. Others have been called names by their manager because they were Jewish. The only way to get ahead is to be a brown noser. People who work hard and really get the job done are not rewarded with promotions unless they are also doing things to specifically impress middle management; in other words, the ones who suck up get promoted.
