      Large company with Many Changes

      Pros

      Lots of opportunities for growth. Lots of changes in the last several years with the new management and new vision. People I worked with were very dedicated and professional but that might be different in other locations. They do pay for continuing education which is a huge plus.

      Cons

      It feels as though if you want to move up in Europe you have to know how to speak Swedish. Pay was a bit below the industry average. IT department is stretched so have to put in extra time most days.

      Sandvik Group fantastic, Coromant division...not so much.

      Pros

      -Strong Sandvik Group brand and corporate umbrella -Growth potential within Sandvik Group

      Cons

      -Coromant Michigan in particular is chock full of "lifers", many of whom are stuck in reliving former glory days at Valenite. -Pontiac office is not welcoming to newcomers -Pontiac office will always play second fiddle to NJ facility. -Tremendous level of politics between NJ and MI offices, which means the employees are the ones used as the game pieces.
