Pros

Sandoz offers attractive financial package combined with good bonus system. Due to the presence in variety of therapeutic areas, it offers possibilities to explore and learn in various business models (OTC, Rx , Biosimilars, Retail and Hospital channel). It is sometimes challenging to find the environment that offers so many opportunities to learn due to natural "wideness"of the portfolio and therapeutic area presence.

Cons

I have spent years working in this environment and would advise to future candidates to carefully think whether to join the environment. Ultimately my leaving was connected with severe and agressive mobbing which led me to private difficulties and long time recovery. Extensive working hours for years just to keep my job, shutting of by the group led by my supperior, extensive blame culture without evidence or possibility of transparent communication. I was put in impossible situations and privately advised by my superior to search for a job elsewhere. I was scared and confused, ashamed and severly dissapointed when the company offered a financial package for me to move on as the mobbing was characterized, by the company, as personal issue between me and superior. I was allways a worker with trackrecord of tangible success and high working ethics, allways keeping in mind the value that is brought to the organization. I am not frustrated today nor I want to put a bad image on a company, but for every person that is going to read this I warmly advise to carefully think whether to choose this company as an employer. Especially if you observe an opportunity on small market where the leader is autocratic, and where there are rumors of non transparency inside organization.

Pros

Job Security and Benefits. Literally nothing else.

Cons

-Novartis has informally restricted employees from applying within network (even for months/years after sale or after quitting) as a result of impending sale so be aware of that fact when considering future options post-sale (if that ever actually occurs. Coming up on 2 years in the works). Novartis Global Leadership couldn't care less about associates at Sandoz and have been the furthest from transparent about timelines/decisions for impending sale to Aurobindo. Will not be held to the fire by Site Leadership so absolutely no information is disseminated in a timely manner, if at all. This includes information (such as benefits, PTO, sick days, etc) that is not at all captured under FTC oversight but we have continuously been given the excuse that none of this information is available because the FTC is reviewing the details. It is extremely condescending that they think the associates are too dumb to see right through it all. Novartis ECN has absolutely no respect from employees at the site level as a result. -Zero talent development. No young talent brought into site because it cannot compete with pay/bonuses/cultures in RTP, Raleigh-Durham area. For career prospects, you're genuinely better off starting at the bottom of any pharma company in RTP or Raleigh-Durham. -Zero consistency in decisions by management, so its hard to know how to handle day-to-day decisions without involving multiple managers. -Management is a group of people that have risen to their level of incompetence, minus a handful of people who haven't yet left simply to gather bonuses/severance when sale finally goes through. -Culture at site is non-existent, site leadership isn't interested in anything but meeting quotas for Novartis to ensure their annual bonuses. -Benefits are pretty good while still under Novartis, but have been declining in quality and cost more as the years go on. -Salary isn't competitive compared to working in RTP.

Pros

You work with nice people in general

Cons

No actual culture, only words on the slides but when it gets serious there is no leadership and no mindfulness nor kindness neither. The process is slow and heavy, people are getting scared to speak up and to endorse any responsibility. Current bad atmosphere with lack of vision on long term shape !!!!
