Big company, outdated culture

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

The barrier to entry is low, as they always need replacements

Cons

Please do not be fooled just because it's a popular company. - Outdated company culture, incompetent "dinosaurs" getting promoted instead of people who do the real work. Imagine boomers in the office yelling and lecturing anyone like it's the 1980s. Working here is like walking on egg shells. - Non-flexible company. No work life balance as they do not allow WFH at all. Everything is bureaucratic and rigid. Everything needs approval from at least 4 levels of upper management. Everything in the office is blocked like you're in prison - Turnover rate is high. Office politics is high which creates a tense and toxic office environment. Such a shame. - Lack of diversity. The company is run by 2 major race. And English is not even the first language used in the company. So expect to hear non-English speakers most of the time. Most people speak and send emails in broken English - HR systems are so bad because they outsource it, many things are done manually and employees are required to clock in with their cards minimum 9 hours a day. Work timesheets are sent to employees monthly to please micro managers.

Burning House

Pros

Amazing people with great talents and heart of gold are recruited for a bargain in the name of brand equity. Trauma bonding is real. It is a burning house with a lot of opportunities to grab as quickly as you can. You will learn life lessons here about what 'NOT' to do in life.

Cons

Character limits are not enough here so will leave bullets for interviewing candidates: 1. Diversity / inclusion / gender equality / human rights / empowerment / carrer growth opportunities etc are all a big lie. It really doesn't exist when it comes to real-life situations. Trust me on this one! 2. Bonus - You never get it in full ever. Moving goalposts and endless Stretch Targets. 3. Burnouts - I have seen my colleagues take depression and burnout therapies. 4. Endless politics - Layers and layers of politics - Korean vs rest / White vs rest / Senior vs Junior / Male vs female / Strong vs weak / Region vs local / Headquarter vs Local / etc. 5. Lastly most important one - Various characters and Action Items: Rare Human gems - Collect them and cherish them for life. Narcissitic Tyrrants - Ignore them and remove yourself from their toxicity. Do not put up with their gaslighting and scheming. Bystanders - Ignore them too for they would only look after themselves. They are fake friends. Free riders - Don't learn free riding from them either. It is not cool. Dumb and Loud - They can speak at length without adding any value ever. Ignore them too. Your time is more valuable that way. Clueless Blinds - So many clueless blinds lead other blinds and they have their own superiority league. It is fun watching that group have a conversation. Very entertaining on how they dig deep into that dumb idea at length! I can go on but like I said my time is more valuable than saving you. You're a grown-up person and you have a choice to make so make your own choice.
