Pros

- A lot of room and ability to grow within the company - Predominantly female management/leadership - Transparency: Sample Supports prides itself on over-communication within the company, and outwardly - Good benefits package - A role that never gets mundane, because it shifts as you learn - Friendly co-workers - Everyone is approachable--even the CEO/Founder, who makes a clear effort to get to know new employees - A company mission you can brag about and see firsthand - I got to watch and help clients grow into their jobs, which was very cool.

Cons

- Not a simple 9-5 (schedules aren't rigid, and tend to change as projects/responsibilities change. BUT they don't expect crazy hours. Hourly employees will VERY rarely work over 40 hours a week)

Pros

Good work experience, some great coworkers in direct care, higher pay than average for direct care (though other companies are following suit)

Cons

No sick time, only 4 holidays a year (Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas), no personal time, unreasonably high expectations--such as keeping up with group text all hours of the day, not knowing schedule more than a day in advance many weeks, clients are often bored because of a lack of work in supported employment, tons of driving/miles on car, required weekly team meetings in addition to full time or more than full time work schedule, favoritism, required administrative tasks after a full work day
