Pros

This is an innovative, fast-paced company that is doing great things to serve and support individuals with developmental disabilities in our communities. It is a great team. The job is fun, creative, meaningful and challenging in all the right ways.

Cons

Because it is very fast-paced, there is a lot of work to be done always. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming if the work/life balance is off.

Pros

The mission of the organization is noble and important. I completely respect and appreciate what employees are doing for people with disabilities and behavioral issues. Frankly, this why I wanted to work here.

Cons

The CEO is toxic. Her personality is vitriolic and she clearly lacks the ability to understand people emotionally. More importantly, she is just very bad at managing people. She clearly is ambitious, and her work ethic is admirable, but you do not want to work for her.

Hi Anonymous, Thank you for your recognition of our mission and how critical it is not only for our clients, but the culture that we live in. As you well know, providing these services is both challenging and rewarding at the same time. We are committed to creating an environment where our employees feel equipped and valued as they provide support to our clients choosing to receive services from Sample Supports. We regret that you feel leadership did not meet your expectations. We are committed to understanding and improving the work environment that so many of our employees have come to enjoy. We continue to emphasize our Employee Engagement Initiative, helping us to increase employee gratification, personal/professional goal alignment, two-way communication, and staff recognition as a means to connect with and validate the meaningful work our employees accomplish day to day. We value and consider all constructive feedback, and want to encourage you to offer more specific detail related to your concerns by emailing feedback@samplesupports.com. We genuinely care about our employees, and know that we could not achieve what we do for our clients, without each person.

Pros

You're doing good things that make you feel good and serving people that are underserved in the community.

Cons

Expectations are that you are on call 24/7- even if you are not directly helping clients. You are expected to complete everything outstanding every day regardless of the number of hours it would take. I worked over 90 hours each week in my last two weeks with the company.

We appreciate your kind words about our company mission – we strive to be the best support agency each and every day - without sacrificing service level and attention to our clients. Occasionally this does require commitment that stretches beyond a typical 40-hour work week, however this is not the norm. Our management have an open-door policy and welcome feedback, both positive and constructive. If you have any constructive, specific feedback to share we would welcome your feedback - please send an email to feedback@samplesupports.com.
