Pros

Pretty good pay for the job you do. Still somewhat of a community environment even though it is a big company. Wal-Mart stock option.

Cons

Some sketchy employees, potential for lots of workplace drama. Only 30-minute lunches, often you have to eat at the Sam's Club food court because there's not time for anything else. Higher career positions seem pretty thankless, and unless you want to leave the region pay didn't seem worth it for the higher-ups.

Pros

Feels like a family, good benefits. Sam's Club values your family life in relation to your work life, which is great. I have a great group of associates who I work with, and I appreciate the relationships that exist.

Cons

However, promotions aren't necessarily given out fairly. You work 45-50 hours minimum per week. Limited positions within the field to move up, and a lot of competitiion amongst other assistant managers.

Pros

A place which is only good for the lowest prices andbest return policies on items purchased. It offers a lot of deals.

Cons

A place where work and taking advantage of honest employees is taken as same opportunity. I would never recommend this place.
