Pros

Benefits are great Pay is great compared to the rest of the retail world It's the first job where I can say I get along with almost all of my fellow associates I get admired for effort in the work I perform

Cons

Communication is a huge problem, some managers lack social skills and need to rely on other forms of communication besides email. MNS isn't going to work in the member's or associates favor, it's going to create poor moral Rewarding promotions to MIT for those who don't earn it in my book, otherwise rewarding to those who don't strive or work very hard at there job We call these people manager's pets Seems now they are trying to turn there backs on associates who put effort into there work instead of others who are lazy, which are the individuals who get MIT TL, however not all TL at my club are lazy and put out just as much effort in the work as I do. Some managers like to make their own policies, which further degrades the work environment

Pros

I was paid. - You have the opportunity to increase your hourly wage by $.40 to $.60 once each year, wow in ten years you will make $4.00 more than you do now. Too bad inflation will increase faster.

Cons

Computed generated schedules - No one understands how they work, or truly don't work. Annual evaluation - only one opportunity per year for a raise. Everyone is rated "solid performer". Evaluation is a scam. Managers look for silly technicalities to rate everyone a solid performer. Not enough Associates to get the work done, this makes everyone working look stupid and lazy, when in reality it is impossible to perform our all the responsibilities of our positions. Of course, lack of productivity is quickly and repeatedly referenced on your, and your co-workers evaluations, resulting in everyone receiving the lowest possible raise of $.40. "Thanks a lot buddy, only 365 days until your next evaluation." Everyone is forced to be able to work any time. The computer making the schedule would schedule my anytime from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., i have a family, but that doesn't matter. I might be scheduled to work Saturday 11-7, Sunday 9:30-2, Monday 5-9 p.m., Thursday 7-11 a.m. and Friday 11-7. The next week it could be completely reversed. How can I spend time with my family, or go to school?
