Cons

Company not what it use to be management is terrible. They show favartisim to part-time associates because that's all they want now schedule is so random its hard to get used to time off request get denied for no reason always work short handed because they can't find or keep enough part-time workers. Did I mention management is terrible?

Pros

Fast paced work environment. Always something to do.

Cons

Lack of support/understanding from the day side crew/management. It was very frustrating having issues leftover from the day crew and causing set backs for us at night. The opening managers almost always gave us a hard time with the Club not being in perfect condition.

Pros

Small town life - great for families. Great schools and things to do for kids and families. Good cost of living in Bentonville. Bonuses were good. Relocation package was very good. Some really good managers and leaders. I had a lot of really great peers and people to work with from all over the country. Interesting work. Innovation was the goal.

Cons

Odd culture. Even at headquarters it was heavy blue collar. They liked to move people within the company and give them jobs they had no prior training, skills or ability. Did not provide proper or updated training. (Lots of Dale Carnegie, few conferences etc) Health insurance cheap and terrible. Digital/IT are an afterthought. Many in leader roles lacked digital experience, knowledge and often ended up being a barrier to moving forward and then wondered why. The IT systems out-dated and required a lot of cheap labor to keep stitched together. Walmart methodology whatever we need we squeeze out of our suppliers/vendors--we try to get something (talent, time, money, resources, pricing) for practically nothing. Trip over $1000 to save $1 Short-sighted work hard, not smart mentality if you move here and don't want to work at Walmart or a supplier, there is little else in area to work for.
