Pros

It's a part time job but for someone who want a consent 25-30hrs, not 40 this is a great job for you.

Cons

I worked in 2 Sam's Club and the door greeters write down the cashier door errors, items they missed scanning and you get written up for every certain amount missed. This all depends on the club, how many items you can miss before written up. 4th write up is, no write up just fired. With the door error log it is very easy to get fired. A new cashier that has been there for a month who works 4-5 days a week managed to miss 2-3 items a week, small items like one bundle of bananas one day and a pack of water 2 days later. They have already been written up twice. They are friendly, sweet, money wise she is never short but still will be fired over simple mistakes. I have worked at many other retail stores and we all miss one item every now and then and make mistakes.

Pros

You make great friends. There are folks from all walks of life. It's a job.

Cons

The pressure to get "credit apps & cash rewards" don't match up with rewards. Ice cream sundaes for the most sign-ups? really? Other companies pay CASH in your paychecks for such efforts. Many employees don't believe they'll ever see their "samshare" again. Older folks, the cement floor is a killer.
