Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It’s great to know that our benefits and flexible working arrangements were valuable to you during your time at Sage. We’re sorry to read your comments on communication, support, and working hours. While we recognise that experiences can vary across teams and functions, consistency in the experiences designed to support and empower our colleagues is critical. When this consistency is missed, it can understandably be frustrating. Please be assured that your feedback has been taken seriously and will be reviewed as we continue to evolve how we work. We wish you all the best in your career moving forward.

Pros

The graduate scheme was a great start to life at Sage. The pay was good for a graduate and you get good benefits. There was no strict rules about when you should attend the office and managers seemed very supportive.

Cons

After a couple of years, managers seems to change the way they treat people once they had extracted all the information they needed. Pay rises went from good jumps to 1.5% increases (less than inflation). Many managers I worked with received promotions off what was seemingly the work I was doing, whilst I was still in the same role. Once I started asking for promotions, I was removed from major projects and asked to train my replacements. The final nail in the coffin was moving to three mandatory days in the office and the CEO stating that if you don't like that, Sage isn't the place for you. They seemed to have forgotten one of their four values was human, I guess it's AI now?

Thank you for sharing such a detailed perspective on your time at Sage. It’s great to hear that your early experience through the graduate scheme made a positive impression. We’re sorry to hear that your experience changed over time. While promotions, pay decisions, and project opportunities can be influenced by a range of factors, we understand how a lack of clarity or a perceived imbalance in these areas can affect trust, motivation, and overall engagement. Our values continue to underpin how we operate as a business, including how we aim to support colleagues in their growth and development. This is why your feedback is so valuable to us. It has been noted and shared internally as part of our ongoing efforts to learn, reflect, and improve. We appreciate you taking the time to raise these points candidly, and thank you for the contributions you made during your time at Sage. As you move forward in your career, we wish you every success.

Pros

The people in the office were great.

Cons

Lack of upward mobility, they promise you the moon and when it’s time to deliver they act like find every excuse not to invest in growing their internal teams.
