"Sage is not for you"

Pros

Sage’s regular employees — the ones truly keeping the company afloat — are talented, hardworking individuals who deserve better.

Cons

- For years, Sage hired talented people far from major office hubs across Europe, promoting flexibility and remote-first work. Without proper support or planning, Sage has now reversed course, enforcing a mandatory three-day office policy. - Leadership has shown no regard for the disruption caused to employees' lives and families, - Instead of fostering dialogue, Sage has resorted to surveillance, tracking employees’ laptop IP addresses to monitor office attendance. - During All Hands meetings, Steve Hare and others senior leaders openly address employees with hostility, stating “Sage is not for you” if they question the new mandates. - Middle managers and directors have been entirely useless — either staying silent or parroting corporate talking points, offering no real support to their teams. - A vocal minority of sycophants drowns out genuine concerns, further deepening a toxic workplace culture and silencing honest feedback. - Morale has collapsed across the company, with motivation at an all-time low. - It is evident that Sage is deliberately pushing employees to resign rather than conducting a proper, transparent layoff. - Senior leadership remains completely disconnected from the real struggles of employees, while continuing to cash out millions annually in company shares. - Sadly, under the current leadership, Sage has abandoned its values, its people, and any sense of humanity.

Pros

- Competitive salary compared to similar roles in Spain - International environment and the chance to work with global teams -Very inclusive culture — supportive of LGBTQ+ employees, gender equality, and human rights - Some flexibility with working hours

Cons

- The company recently enforced a 3-day office policy with no room for discussion, dismissing how it affects employees' personal lives -The CEO publicly dismissed employees’ concerns about hybrid work policies as “irrelevant” — this goes against the values the company claims to promote - Increasingly disconnected from the human values the company claims to uphold - We're expected to go to the office regularly, but there's no support for travel when collaborating with international teams — which feels inconsistent - Communication from leadership has been blunt and lacks empathy - Employees are encouraged to stay silent rather than voice concerns, which is discouraging
