      I was never allowed to do the job I was hired for and was never allowed to get training to better myself.

      Pros

      The only two pro's for me are the paycheck and due to my seniority my vacation time.

      Cons

      My manager is only interested in pleasing his boss, if we don't meet his bosses standards then we don't meet his. And since Sabre has laid off a lot of people worldwide in the past year he uses that to try to get us to work. I also was never allowed to get training in the programming skills that I was hired to do and since then I have been unable to get training in the skills that I am expected to use daily.

      Pros

      Location is great for me. Pay is decent. Benefits are good.

      Cons

      It's full of cliques. Very little to nothing is based on merit but instead on how you can market yourself. Most employees who are interested in just doing good work will be disappointed by the constant nonsense and drama. Amateurs and minor intellects will be your superiors and your opinion will be unwelcome. Groupthink is the the only acceptable opinion. Tolerance is high, as high as long as you agree with the group and their cult leaders. Many going along to get along. The truly gifted people have already left.

      Pros

      - Wages (USD currency in Uruguay) - Flexibility in work hours - Benefits related to health-care - Easy job, if you're willing to get past selfish workmates who don't want to teach you, then you can get some great experience.

      Cons

      - No work/life balance - Awful and unprofessional management - Management works on a friendship basis, if they like you you'd get the chance to grow, otherwise they hinder your growth. ZERO LEADERSHIP skills or people skills. - Overall I wouldn't work here unless I really needed to save money or gain experience to get a better job.
