      Pros

      Its great place to work to get your foot in the door for the Oilfield. Also if you want to work out of the office and make some good money then it could be a place for you. You will meet alot of different type of people of every culture and educational backgrounds. If you like hands on types of work then this is for you.

      Cons

      You will work 70-80 work weeks. Sometimes the working condition is tough and the people you work with will be little rough. You have to be willing to tough it out and work continuously while you are tired and dirty.

      Pros

      Exciting job opportunities and a very dynamic career progression where you can never get bored. You start from the ground up where you can get get a good understanding of how the industry works. The way up can be as fast or slow as you want, essentially if you are driven and talented Schlumberger will give you as much as you can handle.

      Cons

      Very middle management heavy. At the field level, especially with the recent downturn, there is a lot lacking in resources. Very week support structure and a real incapability to try and fix or correct what really matters. There is a lot of beauracy that exists that tends to slow down the day to day operation. Schlumberger tends to sometimes be too internally focused to the point of forgetting what the real goal is, excellent service quality to our clients.

      Schlumbeger is a people oriented company. During the interview they make sure that you are the right candidate for the job. The people that you work with they become as family to you. Team player is one their main focus

      The benefit plan has changed over the years for worst.
