Pros

A simple "yes boss" to all requests and working conditions will be probably be good. You can take two snacks and drinks from the common area and Lunch is served every Mondays.

Cons

-Unclear feedback, constant shift in direction. -Micromanagement and constant blame shifting if a product doesn't sell even though the director approved the product. The boss will throw you under the bus if needed. -They watch your every move, track your computer and chats. Make sure you are active on the computer or it will turn off after every minute or so. -The boss will criticize and gaslight you when they don't know the answers to your questions. -Limited creative autonomy even though on the job description it states that it is an autonomous working environment. -High pressure- low stability. No clear onboarding, rules, or structured expectations. -There is mid-year review twice a year based on a highly subjective performance. Ironically, upper management does not set you up for success. -Lack of transparency and withholds information. -Need to know Mandarin to succeed. -Too many teams, no manager. No one knows what's going on. Designing for Shein felt like a breeze and it was easy.. but if your boss sees how relaxed you are, they will constantly change their minds to create more work for you. For those who want to succeed and level up in their careers, do not work for Shein. Find another company that will value you.

Pros

Full Time in office, one day catered food per week, one work from home day per month, no RSU(stock options) however upper management gets it in package. Beautiful new office. Friendly co-workers. Great stepping stone but not forever 1-2 years max.

Cons

-No RSU Stock Options -Lower pay than competitors and company's alike -Only give one bonus to one member per team but promise bonus in contract; claim budget reasons -Yearly review lowest salary increase ever experienced -Insensitive HR reps -Terrible holidays, USA gets 10 a year, China gets dragon week, Chinese new year, and another holiday week almost an extra 30 days of vacation. -Terrible vacation policy only 10 days (and must incurred over time) -Terrible sick day policy only 5 -No flexibility during holidays, do not close office during Xmas week or after, do not allow nor want you to work remote during holidays -Very dated practice unlike most American and Chinese-American companies -High employee turn over rate -A bit sexist work culture
