Pros

The Cary campus is posh; the onsite health care is a great benefit, great gym, nice walking trails. People there are generally nice. 401K contributions pretty solid. Has some first-rate technology and talent.

Cons

Salary and bonuses are low compared to other technology employers. Promotions rare because of low turnover. Company structure tends to be static. Re-orgs are ineffective in making change. Some employees work tremendous hours and contribute a lot without much recognition, others are out by 5 pm every day on the nose. I'm fascinated to read many of the other reviews of this company. The very glowing reviews on this site I'd suggest that readers discount as those reflect a lucky few, while many of the others capture very well the malaise that I see there, and was the reason I left.

Pros

*Amazing walking trails *Pretty decent benefits *Free snacks/beverages in break rooms

Cons

*Long hours (not everyone works the "SAS 35") *Low pay (and if you don't have the opportunity to use the benefits- they don't make up for the low pay) *Little to no career development/advancement *Promotions are not based on merit (for the most part)

Some good, some bad

Pros

Employee benefits, especially if you work in Cary. Human Resources team is sharp and genuinely cares about employees. Work life balance is respected. Product/solution leadership in analytics marketplace from an install base standpoint.

Cons

Sales driven culture does not exist with internal teams such as legal, operations, and compensation. Research and development is slow and bloated. Sales organization is not respected by CEO and is seen as a necessary evil. Compensation is below average and they try to make up the difference by touting their benefits.
