Generally pretty positive, surprising for a privately owned large process-oriented company

Great technology, many great people, extremely loyal customer base, ability to do your job as you and your manager see fit, great benefits (if you work at HQ, otw benefits vary greatly by location), privately-held company that tries to, and usually succeeds, to value employees over the long term rather than bowing to quarterly pressure from Wall Street.

Cons

Contempt shown by corporate facilities mgmt for remote offices and their workers, some managers (esp. Cary-based) driven more by politics than smart business-related thinking, privately held company that sometimes dismisses ideas that are 'not invented here' even if they're better.

Pros

SAS is a company that truly values its employees and allows them automony and the ablity to get thier jobs done without micro management. The campus is beautiful and there are many perks here you won't find elsewhere! Having worked for smaller and larger orginizations, SAS is an amazing orgnization that focuses on it's customers and employees, retaining an amazing number of both!
